Just another Learnerblogs.org weblog

It’s almost Christmas!

With only 14 days left until Christmas everyone is looking forward to giving AND recieving presents, inclding Christmas cards and parties! Going around singing and dancing to Chritmas carols, decorating the Christmas tree and many more things to do.

But after all that fun we must remember the real reason why we celebrate Christmas. Jesus was born on Christmas day, which is why Christmas is such a huge celebration!

  MERRY CHRISTMAS! HO! HO! HO!

Look Around You!

Not many people realise what others go through in life. And most times it can be really hard. But that doesn’t mean we have to give up! Every day nearly 30,000 children die all because of major poverty. This terrible situation must end. If we had the power to help we would make Poverty History.

To make poverty History we need to donate plenty of money and have sponsers for those who are in need.Everyone needs to help the poor people who lives off only $1 measly dollar each day. I hope more people  will respond to this and help them have as good lives as we do. Post your comments here and tell me what you think of poverty and what you would do to help.

My wiki isnt very good yet but I’m sure as the year goes by it will get much better!!!

Victoria- The Place to Be

Here in Australia, where I live is an amazing place to be. There are many thrilling activities to do. And there are great Attractions. From the Great Ocean Road to the Grampians. As well as Mornington Peninsula, Ayers Rock, The Yarra Valley, The Hepburn’s, Phillip Island and the Goulburn Valley, They are just some of the great Attractions of Australia. There are many more buildings full of History and Information. In Canberra there’s The Parliament House, Unfortunately I don’t get to see much of this because I live in Victoria. I’ve shown a map below to show the area I live in.

How My Friend Was Murdered!

”Once upon a time lived a girl named Stacey. But thats in the past of course, she’s dead now. I’m here to tell you the classic story of How My Friend Was Murdered!
It was a dreadful night and the rain was pouring but worst of all, there was a killer in sight. Her name was Nikita and she was known for her craziness of murdering people with an axe.
That night Stacey was out for a walk as well as her chooks on a leash. She saw a dark shadow in the distance. Suddenly it came charging for poor young Stacey. Stacey reconised the muscley figure of nikita and decided to start sprinting.
Stacey was much to fast for Nikita and her tough abs so instead she just through the axe straight into Stacey’s back. But that didn’t stop Stacey, she kept running with the blood running down her back and on to her chooks.
Eventually Stacey started to slow down from starvation so she headed towards her mega shredder factory where she put all of her chooks into a mega shredder and ate them all up. Except for one which she ate raw. Just as Stacey was licking her fingers from such a good meal she forgot all about the killer that had been stalking her.
When Stacey wasn’t looking, Nikita and her evil powers pushed Stacey right into the largest shredder. out the other end came Stacey sliced, shredded and dead.”

”AND THAT’S THE STORY OF HOW MY FRIEND WAS MURDERED!”

Olympics

DRUM ROLL………..!TAA DAA!

Currently the Olympics have been smashing on the news and our golden girl, Stephanie Rice has not only won 2 gold medals, but both times she broke the record…GO AUSTRALIA!

My favourite event in the Olympics is the Diving, because every time theres a dive it will always be different than the rest. You can create anything you like and peform it. Then in return you get great support, and maybe even a medal!

Post a comment here and tell us what country your from and all you know about the Olympics. Or you can say what’s your favourite sport in the Olympics!

Make It, Bake It, Move It, Shake It Day

BANG!!That’s the sound of the entire school blowing up, well almost.

For one day all grade 5 and 6s went to the high school to see what it was like. The first thing I did was cooking. Now that might not sound interesting but me cooking is one BIG problem.

I almost blew up the whole school with my fabulous cooking skills. Because of the need to use a stove (cooking chocolate banana pancakes) I put the heat on far too much, everything was smoking. Luckily the teacher was there to help.

We then had recess and moved on to geography. We made a globe out of a balloon and paper continents and then popped them.

Next we did gymnastics. I missed out on the trampolines because I had a music lesson. But the rest of gymnastics was fun.

At lunch I fed the agricultural science chickens and they bit me but the pain didn’t last long.

After lunch we had textiles, our last activity for the day. We got to make a scarf and do decorative stitches on it. I nearly broke a sewing machine by sewing too fast, im not too good at sewing.

So on my adventurous day I had a lot of fun and it was a really enjoyable day!

I’m In Love!

Theres nothing better than my 2 best friends,Daffy and Choco…My pet Ducks! One is a girl, and the other is a boy but I am equally in love with both. although it gets rather tiring feeding them and opening thier cage up every morning at 7:00am I do it out of friendship. One time when I was playing hide and seek with them they always found me so I decided to lay down but then Daffy (the boy) came up and started eating me! I told him not to but he didn’t stop there. Every time I moved my eyes he pecked them and after that he ripped my earring out and ate it!
Even though they can get really annoying, There still my BEST FRIEND!

 I’m In Love!

Production In The Circus

Production

On the 11 June of 2008 I peformed a Production for an audience. The production was called ”Circus Splendida”! My part in the production was a main role, a clown. I didn’t really have to do much acting, I only had to be myself =)

I had to wear a costume that made me look huge and facepaint that made me look like a dog. But overall, it was worth it! We each had a role in the Act. Their were acrobats, tightrope walkers, Super scooters, hula hoopers, tiny tumblers, human sculptors, A Band, Jugglers, A huge parade and even Lola the Disappearing Lady!

The peformance was a great success and it was lots of fun.

The Rules Of Copyright

Copyright is a law that must not be broken, othewise you could get charged! There are lots of people in the world that create some pretty fantastic stuff. Infact, my Dad has even invented a couple of things.

But what happened was other people made lots of copies of them and sold them as there on, so not many people new that it was my wonderful father that invented them.

To let people know that it is copyright most people put a C with a circle around it. (that stands for copyright)   Or they just right it some where on the page. Although it’s quite hard to tell because 50% of the time people put neither of them on so people think it’s okay to copy it. Well I’m here to tell you it’s NOT OKAY TO COPYRIGHT!

The best way to know would be to ask the person who made it. Send them an email or give them a call, because that way, you know it’s safe!

©this means copyright.

Science Works

SCREECH! We pulled up on the side of the road and entered the Science Works in
Melbourne! The first exciting place we went to was the magnificent Homes. It showed the secrets of what was really inside your home. It showed all the revolting insects that lived beneath your floorboards, and what kind of objects get sucked right up into vacuum cleaner.

There were plenty of fun things to do around the kitchen area. My favorite part of the kitchen was the sink. It made an example of what would happen if you wasted your water, or giving it to your garden. We learnt many things about our houses and had lots of fun and humor!

After a big day in
Melbourne we got on the bus and went home we got home at 6:00pm we had a brilliant day !
